Requirements
To sponsor your spouse, partner, or children under the age of 18:
You must sign an application to sponsor parents and grandparents related agreement with the individual who is being sponsored, stating that you would assist the sponsored relative financially if necessary. Application for Family Sponsorship Processing Fee
The processing charge for most economic stream applications was changed on April 1, 2020, however, the processing fee for family class sponsorshipIRCC grandparents and parents applications remained the same. A processing fee and a “right to permanent residency” charge must be paid for the application to be processed. It is not possible to get a refund for the processing charge when you apply for parents’ PR. Sponsoring family members over the age of 22 costs CAD$ 550 per adult.
Sponsoring children under the age of 22 = CAD$ 150 per child
RPRF (right of permanent residency fee) = CAD$ 500 for adults and non-dependent children.
RPRF does not apply to children under the age of 22.
